About Roker
Roker runs along the north bank of the Wear where the river meets the sea. Roker Pier and its red-and-white lighthouse are the area’s best-known landmark, and Roker Park, a Victorian park with a lake and ravine, sits just behind the beach.
Homes here range from Victorian and Edwardian terraces and grand seafront houses to flats with sea views. Streets close to the beach and Roker Park are always in demand, and good family homes rarely stay on the market long.
Transport is easy: St Peter’s and Stadium of Light Metro stations are close by, and the city centre is a short bus ride or walk over Wearmouth Bridge.
